Getting Started

PrepMUN is an AI-powered debate and Model UN training app for iOS and Android. It lets you practice debate arguments, simulate full Model UN sessions, train your GSL speeches, and earn XP as you improve — all guided by Leo, the app's AI mascot.
Not at all. PrepMUN has a Beginner difficulty mode designed specifically for first-time debaters. Leo starts gentle, gives you space to build confidence, and gradually challenges you as you improve. Many users start with zero MUN experience.
PrepMUN is available on iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android. Download it free from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Yes — PrepMUN is free to download with 5 debates per month included. For unlimited debates and premium features like the Position Paper generator and Leaderboard, upgrade to Pro for $7/month.

Debate Modes

General Debate is a classic back-and-forth: you argue a topic against Leo across 3, 5, or 7 rounds. Model UN is a full simulation — you represent a country, deliver an opening speech, survive pressure rounds from bloc delegates, negotiate deals in unmoderated caucus, and vote on a resolution. MUN Mode is much more complex and mirrors a real conference.
GSL stands for General Speakers List — the formal opening speech format used in most MUN conferences. In GSL Training mode, you give multiple speeches on a topic and receive responses from different bloc delegates each round. A coaching note after each speech tells you what landed and what to improve.
In Expert mode, Leo uses framing traps (defining key terms to structurally favor his position), introduces new arguments every two rounds, calls out logical fallacies by name, cites real statistics and policy documents, and ends rounds with pointed questions or exposing the fatal flaw in your argument. It's genuinely difficult to win — by design.
The five blocs are Western Bloc (USA, France, Germany, Canada, Australia), G77 (Nigeria, Brazil, Kenya, Bangladesh, Ghana), BRICS (China, Russia, India, South Africa), Non-Aligned (Indonesia, Mexico, Egypt, Argentina), and Arab League (Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, Morocco). Each bloc has a distinct foreign policy personality that shapes how they respond to your speeches and proposals.

Leo & Scoring

Your score covers four dimensions: Logic (structure and consistency of arguments), Evidence (use of data, statistics, and examples), Rebuttal (how well you directly counter Leo's points), and Persuasion (overall effectiveness of your case). Most users score between 55-72 — scores above 80 require genuinely strong arguments.
Leo is PrepMUN's mascot with 9 emotional states. He greets you with a motivational quote, peeks in when you pull to refresh, goes sleeping if you haven't debated in a while, celebrates when you complete a debate, goes shocked when you hit a big streak, and gives you a pointed quote when you let him down. He's the personality of the whole app.
Completing at least one debate per day adds to your streak. Streaks award bonus XP and unlock Leo reactions — at 7 days he celebrates, at 14 days he goes shocked, and your best-ever streak is permanently recorded on your profile. Missing a day resets your streak.

Privacy & Data

Yes — your debate history is saved to your account so you can review past performances, track your score trend over time, and see what topics you've practiced. You can delete your data at any time from Settings.
No. PrepMUN does not sell your data or share it with advertisers. Your debate content is sent to AI providers for processing (anonymized) and stored securely in your account. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
